Come join SHAC (School Health Advisory Council) in our fourth annual “Tour de hood” bike ride for fun sponsored by Dr. Veon McReynolds. SHAC is dedicated to health education and our goal is to promote healthy lifestyles in our schools, family, and community. Therefore we have teamed up with Dr. Veon McReynolds and the “Tour de Hood”, an organized community bike ride that provides an opportunity for family and friends to unite in fun and creative exercise helping us to reach our goal!
Fourth (4th) through eighth (8th) graders will ride the actual tour. The tour will begin and end at the BMI campus. The actual route will be announced at a later date.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about our younger, less experienced bike riders. They will be participating in our Trikes and Bikes activities held at the BMI campus.
Bring your bikes and helmets!! A few loaner bikes and helmets, provided by Dr. McReynolds, will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Water and refreshments will be provided!
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Stay tuned for more information regarding this AWESOME event.
